Getting started
How do I scan a pin or a card?
Open the Pin or Lorcana tab, take a photo of the front, then a photo of the back. ScrapperScan analyses both and shows your result in a few seconds. You can also pick photos from your library.
Do I need an account?
You can start scanning straight away. Creating a free account (Profile → Create a Free Account) keeps your scans and purchases safe if you lose or change your phone.
Is ScrapperScan free?
Yes, it's free to download and includes free scans every day. Premium adds more scans and extra features like Collections and unlimited scan history.
Taking good photos
Pins: front photo
- Bright, even lighting; avoid flash glare directly on the enamel.
- Shoot straight down so the pin fills most of the frame.
- Use macro or portrait mode for sharper enamel detail.
Pins: back photo
- Lay the pin flat and shoot straight down, with no angle.
- Center the ©Disney stamp. It should be readable, not in shadow.
- Diffuse light (a cloudy sky, or a lamp behind you) reduces glare on the stamp.
Lorcana cards
- Bright, even lighting. On foils, tilt the card slightly if glare hides the art.
- Shoot straight down so the card fills most of the frame.
- Keep the bottom line (artist credit and card number) sharp and readable.
- For the second photo, capture the whole card back.
Understanding your result
What does the score mean?
Every scan gets a 0–100 authenticity score and a verdict, plus plain-English reasoning for each thing ScrapperScan checked, so you can see exactly why it reached that result.
Can ScrapperScan guarantee a pin or card is real?
No tool can guarantee authenticity from photos alone. Treat the score as strong evidence for your own decision. If a result surprises you, scan again with better lighting and sharper photos.
The name ScrapperScan gave my item is wrong
Names are suggestions. Tap the pencil next to the name on the result to rename it.
How do I check Lorcana cards?
Use the Lorcana tab. ScrapperScan identifies the card, compares it with the official version and shows its estimated market value. See our Lorcana card checker page for details.
What is Trade Check?
Trade Check (on the Home tab) lets you add scanned items to both sides of a trade and compare their verdicts and estimated values. Values are estimates from market data at scan time; a trade's worth is still yours to judge.
Premium, purchases & subscriptions
I bought Premium but the app doesn't show it
Go to Profile → Restore Purchases. Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple ID you used to buy Premium, and that you're signed in to your ScrapperScan account.
How do I use Premium on a new or second iPhone?
Install ScrapperScan, sign in to your ScrapperScan account, then tap Profile → Restore Purchases while using the same Apple ID you bought Premium with.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Tap Profile → Manage, or open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all App Store payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I've run out of free scans
Free scans come back the next day. If you'd like to keep scanning now, you can upgrade to Premium.
Your scans & your data
Where are my scans?
In the Collection tab. Free accounts keep 90 days of history; Premium keeps it until you delete it.
How do I delete a scan, or all of them?
Long-press a scan in your history to delete it. To remove everything, use Profile → Delete All Scans.
Can I export my scans?
Yes. Profile → Export Scan Report creates a PDF of your scan history.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and the scan data stored with it.
What happens to my photos?
Your pin and card photos stay on your device unless you choose to share them to help improve ScrapperScan. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
